The Vine FC was originally called the Warehouse FC and was formed from a Christian youth centre in Carnforth in 1980. They played friendly games against work, club and pub teams around the area. They changed to the Vine FC when they entered the Christian Sports International Sports League in 1987. The Vine then entered the North Lancashire & District Football League Division 3 in 1999 and went on to win the Parkinson, Collegian, Webb division cup in 2000 and the Whiteside, Holden, Wilson cup in 2002. The Vine are now currently in division 1 of the Lancaster Honda North Lancashire & District Football League and are pushing hard this season for promotion to the premier division. The club chairman is Stephen Ball and the management committee is Steven Hewitt, Richard Simmonds, Nick Ebbitt, Mark Heys and Simon Ball. The Vine FC plays its home games at Carnforth High School, Kellet Road, Carnforth and trains there on Wednesdays at 6:30pm in summer and at Lancaster University at 8:30pm in winter.
